Yamaha Pick & Place Type Robots

YP-X Series

Yamaha YP-X series robot is Yamaha's original pick & place type robot developed in pursuit of "higher speed, more compact size and more ease of use". Yamaha developers always make efforts to develop new products with advanced technology, e.g., combining contrary concepts such as super high speed andyet highly accurate or compact size andyet high payload and have achieved successful results.
 
The YP models feature compact and long stroke, high speed, high precision, high function and reliability.
  1. Line-up
    Full line-up of 6 models in all from 2 axes type to 4 axes type selectable for each use purpose.
  2. Complete absolute position system
    As complete absolute position system is adopted as standard specification, the origin return operation is not necessary.
  3. High precision
    Both outstanding high-speed performance and high precision of ±0.2mm (YP320X, YP320XR, YP330X, YP340X) are assured.
  4. High speed
    Super high speed pick & place operation at 0.45 sec cycle time as standard contributes largely to higher productivity (YP220BX under operation conditions of 50mm in vertical direction, 150mm in longitudinal direction, 50 in arch volume and 1kg load). As it is possible to output a signal to utrn ON/OFF any external equipment from any position while the axis is moving, the actual production cycle time is further reduced.
  5. General use
    Owing to Yamaha's unique servo system, settings for the stop point and operation pattern can be programmed freely. This provides outstanding applicability to production of multiple number of items in a small lot which is difficult with a cam type robot.
  6. Compact size
    Designed as compact as 109mm in width (YP220BX), it is possible to make the production line small and simple. The moving arm structure with less interference area in periphery contributes to saving space.
Yamaha YP robots deliver max. X axis speed 1,500 mm/sec and max. Y axis speed 1,000 mm/sec (YP340X). Equipped with the ball screw, both the X axis and Y axis have the repeatability of ±0.02mm, and Z axis which employs an anti-backlash belt, offers ±0.05mm. Model widths range as low as 109mm and greatly enhances the degree of freedom in the layout of production line.
 
 
YPX220 series

Yamaha Ultra-Fast Pick & Place Type Robots

YPX220BX Series

These robots are Yamaha's super high-speed, slim-body Pick-and-Place robots. Ideal for assembling processes that deal with small parts in a large quantity.
 
YP220BX Compactly designed super high speed 2 axes robot with belt driven X and Z axes combined.
  • Super high speed type with 0.45 sec cycle time as standard.
  • Although as compact as 109mm in overall width, the operation area size is 200mm for X axis and 100mm for Z axis.
  • Highly rigid Z axis guide assures 3kg payload at the end section.
   YP220BXR High speed 3 axes robot with YP320X used as the base and R axis for rotation added.
  • High speed type with 0.67 sec cycle time as standard.
  • The operation area size is 330mm for X axis and 100mm for Z axis. Addition of the R axis for rotation provides more work freedom.
  • 1kg payload at the end section is assured.

YP320X Series

These robots are Yamaha's high-speed Pick-and-Place robots. Ideal for assembling processes that deal with small parts in a large quantity.
 
YP320X High speed 2 axes robot using high cost performance X and Z axes in combination.
  • High speed type with 0.57 sec cycle time as standard.
  • The operation area size is 330mm for X axis and 100mm for Z axis.
  • Enhanced rigidity increased the payload to 3kg from 2kg of the conventional model..
  • As the wiring and piping for installation of the end spindle are enclosed in the main unit and pipe shaft, there is no harness projecting upward, making installation in a smaller space possible.
   YP320XR High speed 3 axes robot with YP320X used as`the base and R axis for rotation added.
  • High speed type with 0.62 sec cycle time as standard.
  • The operation area size is 200mm for X axis and 100mm for Z axis. Addition of the R axis for rotation provides more work freedom.
  • 1kg payload at the end section is assured.

YP330X/YP340X Series

These robots are Yamaha's high-speed, 3 and 4 axes Pick-and-Place robots.
 
YP330X High speed 3 axes robot with YP320X used as the base and X axis added.
  • High speed type with 0.57 sec cycle time as standard.
  • The operation area size is 330mm for X axis, 150m mm for Y axis and 100mm for Z axis. Addition of the Y axis for horizntal movement makes palletizing possible.
  • Enhanced rigidity increased the payload to 3kg from 2kg of the conventional model.
  • As the wiring and piping for installation of the end spindle are enclosed in the main unit and pipe shaft, there is no harness projecting upward, making installation in a smaller space possible.
   YP340X High speed 4 axes robot with YP330X used as the base and R axis for rotation added.
  • High speed type with 0.67 sec cycle time as standard.
  • The operation area size is 330mm for X axis, 150mm for Y axis and 100mm for Z axis. Addition of the R axis for rotation provides more work freedom.
  • 1kg payload at the end section is assured.
