DRV / DRVP Flow Control Valves

The flow control valve comes in two different mountings: the first is an inline mounting via NPTF or SAE O-Ring connections, the second is a manifold mount. The body is made of carbon steel with a phosphate coating. O-Rings are FPM (Viton) standard. The operating pressure is 5,000 PSI with flows up to 80 GPM. There are eight sizes from 1/8" to 1-1/2". BSP to DIN 3852, Part 2-X ports are available on special order. Temperature range is from -4°F to +212°F.

SRVR Pressure Compensated Flow Control Valves

The flow control valve comes as an inline mounting with NPTF connections. The body is made of carbon steel with a phosphate coating. O-Rings are FPM (Viton) standard. The working pressure on the inlet side ranges from 102 psi minimum to 3045 maximum, and on the outlet side from 0 psi minimum to 2944 psi maximum. There are four sizes from 1/4" to 3/4". Viscosity range is from 13 SUS minimum to 1781 SUS maximum. Maximum flow is 24 GPM. Temperature range is from -4°F to +212°F.

RV / RVP Series Check Valves

The check valve comes in two different mountings: the first is an inline mounting via NPTF or SAE O-Ring connections, the second is a manifold mount. The body is made of carbon steel with a phosphate coating. The poppet is made of hardened and ground steel. O-Rings are FPM (Viton) standard. The operating pressure is 5,000 PSI with flows up to 80 GPM. There are nine sizes from 1/8" to 2". BSP to DIN 3852, Part 2-X ports are available on special order. Temperature range is from -4°F to +212°F.

RB Hose Break Valves (Velocity Fuses)

HYDAC Hose Break Valves eliminate uncontrolled movements of the actuator in case of line rupture. They are commonly applied with dead weight cylinders. These valves are volume limiting flat seat valves.

At normal flow, the poppet is held open by a spring with enough force to counteract the force on the poppet created by the flow. When the supply line is ruptured, the flow from operating direction exceeds the specified flow rate, the P across the poppet creates a force greater than the spring force and closes the valve. This closing flow rate is adjustable. The valve opens automatically by pressurizing the outlet connection. Depending on the pressure P, the leakage rate through the valve is approximately 0 to 6 in³ min. If this is excessive, the valve threads can be sealed and made leak-free.

The valves are installed between actuators and possible line breakage points. A cartridge-type valve can be installed in an actuator port. A housing-type valve can be installed close to the actuator or even directly into the actuator itself.

Cartridge valves are available in SAE and NPT threads in three sizes each. Housing valves are available as female to male, female to female, and male to male in selected SAE and NPT sizes. Flow rates range from 1 to 30 GPM. Operating Pressure is 145 PSI minimum to 5000 PSI maximum. Operating temperature range is -4°F to +176°F.

AEV Series Automatic Air Vent Valve

The HYDAC Air Vent Valve eliminates air bubbles which accumulate in hydraulic systems immediately after start-up or after long periods of shut-down of the system. The Air Vent Valve remains open as long as there is an air flow, but closes as soon as oil reaches the inset valve. The closing operation is automatic without any loss of oil.

This type of operation of the HYDAC Air Vent Valve allows for easy start-up of hydraulic systems. Due to the compact design the Air Vent Valve requires minimum space.

The inlet port is connected to the pressure line and the outlet port should be connected back into the non-pressurized reservoir. For ventilation of pumps the valve should be mounted adjacent to the pump outlet. For system ventilation the valve should be mounted at the system's highest point.

Ports are 1/4" NPT. Flow rates range from 0.25 gpm to 15 gpm; to achieve higher flow rates, parallel connection is possible. Operating pressure range is 43 psi to 8700 psi.
