Series 5500 Micro Latching Connector (MLC)The Canfield Connector Series 5500 MLC is a solid state toggling/latching relay incorporated inside a MINI or DIN 43650/ISO 4400 form "A" solenoid connector. This device performs a logic function simulating a sustaining push button switch (push-on, push-off) creating a double solenoid type latching effect with single solenoid valves. The MLC can be controlled by either a mechanical remote switch or by a logic signal. The pole defaults to the "off" position should there be a loss of power. |

| How It Works Upon application of power to the input terminals the MLC is in the OFF state. The MLC will remain in the OFF state until the trigger signal is applied. Once the trigger signal is applied the MLC changes to the ON state and will remain on until the trigger signal is removed and reapplied. Each time the trigger signal is applied the MLC output changes state. |
